It is with a heavy heart that we have to say goodbye to our historic Graseckbahn cable car at the end of the year, which is going into well-deserved retirement.
In order to ensure unrestricted accessibility for our guests in the coming decades, we decided to build a new building.

The new construction of the Graseckbahn is being carried out with a new, only slightly offset route. This means that the previous Graseckbahn can be used without restrictions until the start of the new one.

Work on the mountain station is expected to start on August 21, 2023 and will take place from Monday to Friday until mid-October 2023.

What can you expect from us during this time as usual?

A promising and quiet sauna area to relax extensively
Tasty evening 4-course menus, created by Herbert Eineichner and our kitchen team for your pleasure
Countless beautiful hiking trails of all levels of difficulty close to our hotel, in case it should get louder on some days
Health check-ups by our competent team of doctors- if you want to combine the pleasant with the useful

The only thing we won't always be able to keep is our promise of absolute calm during this period. So that the work is as little disruptive as possible, it only takes place from monday to thursday (August/September) or to friday (October/November) between approx. 8:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. on the north side of our hotel. This is the back of the hotel and there are no hotel rooms or guest facilities here:

The three guest rooms located on the second floor north side are locked and can be booked for a 25% discount via reservierung@no-spam.das-graseck.no-spam.de. Standard double room regular 360€ minus 25% = 270€ including half board per night for two people.

A few more facts why we decided to build a new building:

Ecological effect: In the future, deliveries of goods will mainly be made by train instead of by mountain road.
More comfort for our guests: Due to the slightly larger gondola size, bicycles can be taken up (and down) in the future without having to drive over the 36% steep access road.
Even more exclusive, even more peace and quiet for the hotel guest, by moving the mountain station behind the hotel.
Significantly reduced waiting times at peak times.
The historic Graseckbahn valley station and mountain station are preserved as a reminder. If the monument protection allows it, we already have nice ideas for the integration of the old mountain station - let us surprise you!
